At Vetrinamia, our vision of luxury is uncompromising in quality yet refreshingly attainable. Every element of our products — from the finest Italian leathers to custom metals plated in 18-karat gold — is crafted at the highest standard, yet priced at less than half of traditional luxury houses. The price is not inflated; it is an honest reflection of true craftsmanship, making the experience of luxury tangible rather than a distant mirage.

For us, luxury is not about logos or the ability to spend. It is a deeply personal, meaningful expression of beauty and taste — a conversation between artistry and individuality. Unlike brands that repeat the same motifs for decades or even sell plastic bags at exorbitant prices, our philosophy resists the emptiness of spectacle. We believe consumers deserve more than being treated as mere status-seekers.

Vetrinamia is a return to real craftsmanship, creativity, and artistry — a revival inspired by the spirit of the Renaissance in Florence, where our artisans continue to shape timeless works of beauty. We ask consumers to live with our products, to let them breathe and grow with time, and to discover for themselves their enduring value.

The product is not “lesser" than what big luxury names have to offer — it is better: more creative, more dynamic, more human, and at a fairer price. Our designers, many of whom spent decades within the biggest names, now seek to leave their own independent legacy — works that reflect their human experiences and unique aesthetic visions. This is what art was always meant to be: a dialogue of creativity, heritage, and beauty that endures.

We do not see our customers as transactions but as family. We invite them into this journey, to find the pieces that resonate with them personally, and to become part of a community where art and life intertwine.  

Vetrinamia's story (so far)

Vetrinamia (www.vetrinamia.com) is owned and operated by Glorious Fame Limited, an investment holding company established seven years ago with the mandate to bring high-quality, Made in Italy, and uniquely designed fashion products to a global audience. Vetrinamia, the flagship platform under Glorious Fame's umbrella, carries the mission of becoming the premier online destination to discover the charm and allure of truly authentic, Made in Italy, one-of-a-kind fashion items.

Vetrinamia’s founder and CEO, Ms. Kate Chang, hails from California, where she was raised in the heart of Silicon Valley. She studied law at UC Berkeley and was admitted to Columbia Law School. With a passion for venture capital and consumer technology, she embarked on a decade-long career in venture investment, during which she completed key investment deals for Sumitomo Corporation, CyberAgent Ventures, and various global private equity funds.

As part of her investment work, Ms. Chang frequently traveled to Europe, where she became enamored with the high-quality, unique products she discovered off the beaten path—tucked away in charming ateliers throughout the towns and countryside of Italy and France.

In one of these small boutiques, she met a young Italian designer whose work she deeply admired. The designer had previously created for major fashion houses like Armani and Gucci, but confided that the experience, while prestigious, had been creatively stifling. Designing within the strict codes of big brands left little room for personal expression—what once was art had become just a job. Launching her own brand was a way to reclaim that creativity, even if survival as an independent designer was a constant struggle.

She told Ms. Chang she was not alone—there were countless designers like her: highly skilled, full of ideas, but trapped under the weight of big brands, unable to create freely, and without the financial means or visibility to break out on their own.

Ms. Chang was deeply moved. The pieces before her were every bit as beautiful as those from established luxury brands, yet they lacked the same platform and recognition. From that moment, the idea for Vetrinamia took root: a space to spotlight exceptional, independent designers and give their work the global audience it deserves.

Today, Glorious Fame Limited collaborates with more than 200 independent European fashion brands, exclusively representing them across the Asia-Pacific region. These designers work across fashion categories—garments, shoes, handbags, and jewelry. Many come from top design schools in Europe such as Istituto Marangoni; others are artisans continuing generations of craftsmanship passed down through family traditions. Our mission is to give these talents a spotlight in the world’s most dynamic consumer markets.

Many of the creative directors behind the brands we feature have spent decades designing for major fashion houses—shaping collections in their image, but rarely given the freedom to express their own. Hidden in ateliers across Italy, France, and beyond are independent brands led by these designers, offering exceptional craftsmanship and original vision, yet often overlooked in the shadow of the big names.

For our inaugural launch, Vetrinamia is proud to present four Made in Italy handbag brands, each with a distinct design point of view:

These designers are now telling their own stories through collections that reflect a deeply personal vision of “Designed in Europe, Made in Italy.” We invite you to explore their work as they debut on our platform.

In addition to the launch of our official site, Vetrinamia has also opened a six-month showroom in Shanghai and a pop-up store in the heart of Xintiandi, the city’s trendiest and most fashion-forward shopping district.

Our mission to share the joy, love, and care with which our products are painstakingly designed and made—with our brand partners and artisans in Italy—continues to reach new borders.

Under Ms. Chang’s leadership, Vetrinamia is expanding into new markets through alliances with local partners, including:

These partnerships allow us to provide customers with more localized service, regional payment methods, and tailored experiences.

Our team at Vetrinamia includes graduates of top-tier universities such as UC Berkeley, with extensive work experience across Fortune 500 companies in gaming, creative industries, and consumer technology. Every team member is dedicated to delivering excellence—not only in product, but also in service to our customers around the world. We are currently evaluating new regional operations in key markets such as South Korea, Taiwan, Australia, and the UAE.

Our point of view is centered on unique, limited-edition products. At Vetrinamia, we exist to support independent designers—offering them the tools, services, and exposure they need to thrive. Each brand manages its own production, working with skilled Italian artisans whose attention to detail and commitment to quality reflect the enduring spirit of Made in Italy.
