Meet us in Le Marais:
A New Chapter in the Heart of Paris
This year, we are opening the doors to our flagship store, located
in Le Marais, one of Paris’s most storied fashion districts,
at 22 Rue de Sévigné.

Vetrinamia was founded on a deep belief in independent design voices and distinct points of view. Known for championing emerging perspectives and creative individuality, Le Marais is a natural fit for our first location. We are proud to plant our flag in this historic district, a neighborhood that welcomes discovery while honoring time, craftsmanship, and enduring quality, values closely aligned with our own.
Located near the Musée Carnavalet and the Place des Vosges, Paris’s oldest planned square, Rue de Sévigné sits within the historic fabric of Le Marais, at the intersection of its cultural and architectural heritage. The street itself reflects centuries of Parisian history. Unlike large-scale commercial districts such as Avenue Montaigne or Rue Saint-Honoré, Le Marais is a place shaped by discovery. Off the beaten path, those who gather here do not merely seek brand logos; they are drawn to craftsmanship, originality, and independent voices. This sensibility resonates directly with the values of the consumers who have supported Vetrinamia’s growth, making it a natural home for us in Paris.

In fact, the opening of this first physical flagship would not exist without the support of these artisans; their blood, sweat, and tears. This support has allowed Vetrinamia to grow from a seed of an idea into a global platform.
As this space comes to life, we will share the process along the way. From the earliest ideas to the final details of the interior, we want our customers to be part of the journey, so that when the doors open, it feels like home.
For those who have followed us online, this will be an entirely different kind of experience which is more immediate, more personal, and above all, more tactile.
Vetrinamia will not only present handbags; we will transform the store into an interactive space, hosting the very artisans who created these pieces to share their working process and expertise, and explain to consumers the thought and consideration that goes into each phase. From selecting the leather to creating the intricate hardware that adorns each bag, they will share in their own words the intention behind their work, and the challenge, yet intense joy, they feel during the making and completion of each piece.

For instance, leather technicians from the tanneries we collaborate with in the north of Italy, often storied realities themselves, with a history spanning three or four generations and supplying the largest Maisons in the world, will share how they select only highly graded skins, chosen for surfaces so clean that they require little to no correction.
Because the natural grain is preserved in its original, organic state rather than being artificially stamped, each hide retains a beautiful irregularity; a unique fingerprint in which the texture may shift from fine granules to a more open grain across its surface. The artisans insist this is the hallmark of full-grain leather, the hide’s strongest and most resilient part.
By avoiding the sanding or buffing processes often used to conceal imperfections in lower-grade materials, the integrity and density of the leather fibers remain intact. As a result, the leather evolves, and over time, it becomes increasingly supple, developing a richer depth and sheen, honoring the material in its most authentic and enduring form.
Our bagmakers located in Tuscany and Veneto will share how the “filo,” the delicate yet durable thread that weaves throughout the leather to bring the bag’s form to life, is just as important as the leathers themselves; they must select the appropriate shine and thickness, while also ensuring that it does not fray and glides smoothly through the leather. These separate yet distinct materials define the bag’s final quality while also carrying their distinct origin.
For the opening of the Paris store, Vetrinamia will feature one main brand inspired by the city of Paris itself. The brand's clasps and charms feature delicate rose motifs in full bloom, the signature of this new line.
The rose metal hardware featured is not abstract; they are very realistic recreations of actual roses in bloom. The pieces are crafted using the longstanding, jewelry-grade luxury hardware technique of lost-wax casting, an ancient method perfected by fine jewelry artisans in Florence and Arezzo, Italy, where the roses are created today. Each piece begins as a hand-carved wax sculpture, which is later displaced as molten brass passes through the sculpted form, allowing every petal to be rendered with intricate, organic depth.
Within the folds beneath each petal, the recessed areas retain the soft, natural matte character of the metal after casting, while the upper surfaces of the petals are carefully polished to a luminous shine. The phase of polimentora, or polishing, in this case is a labour-intensive process, finished mostly by hand. This contrast creates and enhances the sculptural, artistic depth of the rose as it is mounted on each piece.
The result is a rose in bloom with a richly layered, three-dimensional effect that stands as a tribute to the refined hand and craftsmanship of the artisans who have brought it to life. With time and use, the piece takes on an aged, oxidized patina, giving it a beauty that feels storied, historical, and enduring. Each one, a work of art in its own right, is a nod to the city’s deep, historical love for roses.
In fact, the new brand that Vetrinamia will soon debut in Paris was conceived by its creator as an homage both to the ever-present rose as a symbol of this beloved city, and as a tribute to Paris itself, through the myriad, kaleidoscopic creative voices that gather each day along the banks of the Seine, within Paris’s art schools and its ateliers, and whose art decorates the fabric and rhythm of this city.
Therefore, each piece emerges from this collective, and the brand brings together designs inspired not by one individual alone, but by a constellation of talented creators, each with their own way of expressing what Paris, a city that continuously births and nurtures creativity, means to them.
The young designers and artists by the Seine who helped shape these ideas have chosen to remain anonymous. This is a sensitive but honest reality, as many are at the beginning of their careers, navigating a system where entering the grandes maisons often represents stability, even if it is not always where their true creative aspirations lie. To pursue an independent path would mean embracing a far greater level of uncertainty. As a result, public association outside of these established routes may affect their future opportunities, and to protect that future, they feel it necessary to remain unseen.
At the same time, they are driven by an intense creative energy: a desire to express, to experiment, and to leave something behind. This brand was created, in part, to give those ideas a form. Even without names attached, their perspectives, instincts, and visions are able to exist, to be seen, and to endure through the objects themselves.
We respect and honor their wishes, while we remain committed to bringing their inspired ideas to life. Just as the Seine, the unifying thread in this collection that carries countless stories without naming each one, their work emerges as part of a collective current: individual, yet inseparable from the whole.
In this shared space, identity dissolves into creation. What matters is not the name attached to the work, but the feeling it captures and the truth it conveys.
That same spirit finds its way into the designs themselves. The wave-like forms that are a signature of the brand's unique silhouettes echo the movement of the Seine; its rhythm, its quiet persistence, while the rose, ever-present in Paris, symbolizes the city’s natural poetry and emotional depth.
Above all, this first shop in Paris is a love letter to our customers, to those whose support and encouragement made this day possible.
We invite our customers to treat our space as a shared one: rest your feet while exploring the narrow, cobbled streets of Le Marais, sit and chat with our product specialists to learn how each piece is painstakingly constructed, or attend an event with one of our Italian artisans or metalsmiths.
In this cozy yet refined atmosphere, you can experience the quiet balance of reverence for and delight in learning how things are made, from how leathers are chosen and carefully finished to how our hardware is sculpted and polished using ancient and enduring techniques.
We invite you to take respite from the pace of modern life with us, step inside to be surrounded by a living homage to craftsmanship that feels almost suspended in time, and leave feeling intellectually and aesthetically nourished and gently renewed before stepping back outside.
So stop by to experience, to share, or simply to say hello.
We look forward to unveiling this new experience to you very soon.
With love from Paris,
The Vetrinamia Team
