Focus on the 18-carat rose clasp, an important accent point of the Beaumont bag
Florence (Italy), April 5, 2025 – Frédéric Lesellier announces the sculptural new handbag “Beaumont,” inspired by the grandeur of the gardens of the Palace of Versailles. This piece is a modern reinterpretation of classic French aesthetics, embodying timeless elegance through architectural symmetry, the curved flap reminiscent of an alcove, and delicate details.

The most iconic and eye-catching feature of this piece is the rose clasp, crafted from 18K gold plating.
“In designing the rose clasp, I observed roses from many different angles and created countless sketches to refine the form. My goal was to capture a swirling shape that expresses the delicate twist of petals as if they were fluttering in the air,” explains Lesellier.
“This rose-shaped clasp is a defining detail of the Versailles Gardens collection — it embodies softness, strength, and a sense of mystery. Though inspired by French roses, it blends naturally into Florence, a city of beauty and memory,” he adds.
“The Beaumont Bag is a timeless symbol of elegance that seamlessly fuses classic luxury with modern sophistication. I personally love how it’s both glamorous and youthful. From material selection to the production process, I oversaw everything with my own eyes,” says Lesellier.
The design of the Beaumont Bag and its rose clasp began with a series of intricate sketches and in-depth research.
The "Beaumont" is meticulously crafted by skilled artisans in Tuscany, near Florence — a region known as the heart of Italy's high-end leather industry. It uses premium smooth cowhide leather tanned by a gold-medal certified tannery (LWG) in northern Italy. For the interior, soft yet durable suede goat leather is used. From hand-painted edges to precise stitching, every detail reflects the pinnacle of Italian craftsmanship.
Though compact, the bag is highly functional, with a front compartment and inner pocket that neatly fit everyday essentials — including the iPhone 16. Thanks to its top handle and detachable shoulder strap, it can be styled in various ways to suit any occasion.
The bag made its debut in the brand's campaign, "Early Spring Sojourn in Florence," photographed in a setting filled with poetic architecture and golden light unique to the Renaissance city.
“Florence holds a unique strength,” says Lesellier. “It’s a city where art lives in every stone, every gaze, every breath. That’s why I wanted to express the world of the Beaumont Bag here. There’s a quiet, radiant elegance in Florence that deeply resonates with me.”
