Jenny Monsellato

My concept of dress goes beyond the confines of form and stitching, evoking past eras with an eye always turned towards the contemporary. Minimalism accentuated by elaborate details, sometimes unusual, contrasts if not chromatic, of opacity and shine or thickness and transparency, while different materials fit together exalting femininity, all in a harmonious distribution of elements. Soft lines recall a freedom far from constraints and fluid fabrics recall a conquered lightness. A constant balance between simplicity and complexity. These are some traits that I like to exalt in every single garment of my collections, giving a glimpse of the emotions hidden in each of them.

Jenny Monsellato

I am Jenny Monsellato, Fashion Designer and Cool Hunter Italiana, born in 1981. I had the luck and the privilege of having transformed the passion of my life into my profession, this only after a long and necessary apprenticeship, sacrifices, renunciations, small satisfactions and much, much determination. My confidentiality and sensitivity have always led me to have an introspective interpretation of Art and Design. For me creating means giving shape to emotions, giving life to thoughts and strength to insecurities, it is a primary necessity for me to materialize feelings, emotions and sensations, first through drawing and then through the processing of the fabric.
